Friends

In addition to the Hortus Botanicus Foundation (Stichting Hortus Botanicus), there is an organization called the ‘Friends of the Amsterdam Hortus’. It was founded in 1986, and is closely involved with the everyday developments in the Hortus. This organization is very active, and with more than 8000 members it is the largest Friends society in the Netherlands.
